What's Happening at Blooms & Bushels Fest
Fall Flower Fields
Wander through the fields, capture some of the season's best photos, and cut a bouquet to bring home. With sunflowers, zinnias, and more, the fields are packed with color.
U-Pic Apple Orchard
Head out into the orchard and hand pick your favorite apples straight from the tree. With over 45 varieties to choose from, there is something for every taste.
Orchard Shop
No ticket required. Stop in and browse our Orchard Shop for fresh cider donuts, pies, apple cider, local goods, and so much more.
Additional Fun
Farmview Railway
Kids and adults will love the 3/4 mile scenic trip around the farm. Available on weekends.

What are Blooms & Bushels Fest hours?
During Blooms & Bushels Fest, Kuipers Family Farm is open Wednesday through Saturday from 9am to 6pm and Sunday and Monday from 10am to 6pm. The farm is closed on Tuesdays. Final admission is 30 minutes before close.
Is parking free at Kuipers Family Farm?
Yes, parking at Kuipers Family Farm is free for all guests, with no pass or fee required. During Blooms & Bushels Fest, park in front of the Orchard Shop & Bakery, between the flower fields and the U-Pic Apple Orchard.
Can I bring my dog to Blooms & Bushels Fest?
Dogs are not permitted at most Kuipers Family Farm events. However, Blooms & Bushels Fest includes select "K-9s at Kuipers" dates where leashed dogs are welcome in the flower fields. See our pet policy here.
Can I visit the Pumpkin FunFarm during Blooms & Bushels Fest?
The Pumpkin FunFarm is not open during Blooms & Bushels Fest. It opens west of Watson Road on September 18 as part of Fall Harvest Fest and runs through November 1. You're welcome to enjoy Fall Flower Fields, the U-Pic Apple Orchard, and the Orchard Shop & Bakery now, and come back for the Pumpkin FunFarm once Fall Harvest Fest begins.
Do I need a separate ticket for each experience?
Yes. The Fall Flower Fields and the U-Pic Apple Orchard each require their own admission ticket, purchased online or at the gate. The Orchard Shop & Bakery is free to enter and requires no ticket at all, so you can shop and snack without admission.
Where is Blooms & Bushels Fest located?
Blooms & Bushels Fest is held at Kuipers Family Farm, 1N318 Watson Road, Maple Park, IL 60151, one hour west of Chicago. Enter and park on the east side of Watson Road, home to the U-Pic Apple Orchard, Fall Flower Fields, and Orchard Shop & Bakery.
Can I pick apples during Blooms & Bushels Fest?
Yes. The U-Pic Apple Orchard opens with Blooms & Bushels Fest on August 22, with the first varieties ripening in late August and more than 45 varieties ripening across the season. Apple picking requires its own ticket, and picking early means the very first apples of fall.
Do I need a ticket to visit the Orchard Shop during Blooms & Bushels Fest?
No ticket is required to visit the Orchard Shop & Bakery. The shop is free to enter and open during all farm events. Admission is required to access the flower fields and apple orchard. The Orchard Shop sells apple cider donuts, caramel apples, fresh pies, specialty foods, and seasonal gifts.
What food options are available during Blooms & Bushels Fest?
The Orchard Shop & Bakery is free to enter, so you can shop and snack without a ticket. It's where you'll find our apple cider donuts, caramel apples, fresh pies, and the rest of our bakery favorites.
The Farmhouse Kitchen is located under the Orchard Shop and features personal pizzas, chili, the orchard salad, and an apple butter pulled pork sandwich with coleslaw. Save room for a donut sundae, a pie slice, or an ice cream bowl, and cool off with an apple cider float, an apple cider slushie, or cold cider.
On weekends, the Crispy Caboose at Orchard Station is open too, with chicken tenders and fries, loaded fries, buffalo ranch fries, and lemonade.
