Can I visit the Pumpkin FunFarm during Blooms & Bushels Fest?

The Pumpkin FunFarm is not open during Blooms & Bushels Fest. It opens west of Watson Road on September 18 as part of Fall Harvest Fest and runs through November 1. You're welcome to enjoy Fall Flower Fields, the U-Pic Apple Orchard, and the Orchard Shop & Bakery now, and come back for the Pumpkin FunFarm once Fall Harvest Fest begins.

Do I need a separate ticket for each experience?

Yes. The Fall Flower Fields and the U-Pic Apple Orchard each require their own admission ticket, purchased online or at the gate. The Orchard Shop & Bakery is free to enter and requires no ticket at all, so you can shop and snack without admission.

Where is Blooms & Bushels Fest located?

Blooms & Bushels Fest is held at Kuipers Family Farm, 1N318 Watson Road, Maple Park, IL 60151, one hour west of Chicago. Enter and park on the east side of Watson Road, home to the U-Pic Apple Orchard, Fall Flower Fields, and Orchard Shop & Bakery.

Can I pick apples during Blooms & Bushels Fest?

Yes. The U-Pic Apple Orchard opens with Blooms & Bushels Fest on August 22, with the first varieties ripening in late August and more than 45 varieties ripening across the season. Apple picking requires its own ticket, and picking early means the very first apples of fall.

What food options are available during Blooms & Bushels Fest?

The Orchard Shop & Bakery is free to enter, so you can shop and snack without a ticket. It's where you'll find our apple cider donuts, caramel apples, fresh pies, and the rest of our bakery favorites.

The Farmhouse Kitchen is located under the Orchard Shop and features personal pizzas, chili, the orchard salad, and an apple butter pulled pork sandwich with coleslaw. Save room for a donut sundae, a pie slice, or an ice cream bowl, and cool off with an apple cider float, an apple cider slushie, or cold cider.

On weekends, the Crispy Caboose at Orchard Station is open too, with chicken tenders and fries, loaded fries, buffalo ranch fries, and lemonade.
