Fall Flower FieldsFrequently Asked Questions
Where are the Fall Flower Fields?
The Fall Flower Fields sit near the Orchard Shop on the east side of Watson Road. Pick up your wristband at the Train Depot and enter through the Orchard Lawn.
Do I need a ticket?
Yes. The Fall Flower Fields require their own admission ticket, available on our tickets page or at the gate. Blooms are an add-on purchased by the decorative bucket or poly vase right in the field. The U-Pic Apple Orchard is ticketed separately.
What are the field conditions like?
The Fall Flower Fields are a working farm field. The ground can be wet, muddy, and uneven with bare spots, so dress accordingly. Conditions depend on the weather in the days leading up to your visit, not just the day itself, so boots are always a good idea after rain.
Can I take photos in the fields?
Yes, and the fields make a stunning backdrop. There are no official timeslots for photographers, and photographers and their clients all need field tickets. Drones are not allowed. Read the full photography policy on our FAQ's & Policies page.
When are the fields open?
The Fall Flower Fields are open during Blooms & Bushels Fest, August 22 through September 17, 2026. Dates depend on the condition of the flowers, so the calendar on this page is our best estimate and can shift with the weather.
What flowers can I cut?
Over 8 acres of fall flowers are planted, including sunflowers, zinnias, cosmos, and amaranths. Cut your own blooms straight from the field and carry them home in a decorative bucket or poly vase. Varieties shift as the season moves, so every visit looks a little different.
How long do the flowers last?
Sunflowers generally last one to two weeks depending on the variety. Our team stages multiple plantings of different varieties to stretch the season, so the Fall Flower Fields usually run about three weekends, though the weather always has the final say.
Are there still sunflowers?
Yes. Sunflowers bloom in the Fall Flower Fields every fall, alongside zinnias, cosmos, and amaranths. Walk the fields during Blooms & Bushels Fest, August 22 through September 17, and cut your own bouquet to bring home.
