  Midwest Tulip Fest FAQ

🌷   Kuipers Family Farm is huge! Where is the Tulip Fest located?

The Midwest Tulip Fest is located in the Pumpkin FunFarm Activity Area on the West side of Watson Road. GPS location is 1N290 Watson Road in Maple Park. Guests enter through the FunFarm ticket booths and follow the signs back to the acre tulip field.

🌷   Where is parking? And is there a fee to park?

The main parking lot is located on the West side of Watson Road, closest to the Midwest Tulip Fest/FunFarm Activity Area. There are no tulips planted on the East side of Watson where the apple orchard is.  The east side of the farm where the orchard and large store is located is closed for private events during the Tulip Fest.

🌷   Have the tulips bloomed yet?

The Midwest Tulip Fest is open for 3 weeks, but the tulips may only be in bloom for a short window during that time. Mother Nature decides the right time for the flowers to pop up and show their vibrant colors. There’s  still plenty of food, activities, and more during our Midwest Tulip Fest days! Keep an eye on the Tulip Bloom-O-Meter for the most recent tulip updates.

🌷   What is all open during the Midwest Tulip Fest?

The Tulip Field is open daily!

Our activities are open daily, but certain attractions are not open due to the season. For more information on activities, see our activities page.

Food available on weekends will include food trucks, Spring Sweets & Treats, and the Grumpy Goat Bar.
There are plenty of delicious food options, including donut sundae’s! All food vendors are located inside the park. G’s Smokehouse is available 7 days a week.

Our Farmstand is located outside the park and is open daily. It’s a great source for Midwest Tulip Fest attire, Kuipers Donuts, Kuipers Hard Ciders and Wines, Fudge, Kuipers Kettle Corn and festive spring decor!

The Orchard Shop is be closed for private events.

Live music is available on weekends. Check out our Facebook page for more details on live music.

🌷   Can I get donuts? I love donuts!

Kuipers Donuts are available in the Farmstand.

🌷   What is the condition of the field? Is the field handicap accessible?

The Tulip Field is a farm field. It may be wet and muddy, so we advise guests to dress appropriately. While we’ve worked hard to manicure the grounds, there are bare spots and unlevel ground. While most of the field is flat, this year’s planting also includes a small hill. We will have golf carts able to shuttle guests if needed.

Please remember that the conditions of the field are dependent not only on the weather the day you visit but the days leading up to your visit.  If it has rained in the days prior to your visit, boots are always a good idea (especially if you wear the ones with the trendy graphics!)

🌷   Is there food there? I’m already a little hungry!

G’s Smokehouse is available 7 days a week. Kuipers Family Farm’s concessions and additional food trucks are available on the weekends.

🌷   I would like to do photography sessions at the tulip festival. How does that work?

There are no official timeslots for photographers. We advise photographers and their clients to purchase tickets like normal. If you have additional questions, please send us a message on our Facebook Page.

🌷   Can I bring pets to the Midwest Tulip Fest?

Please view our pet policy here.
